English grammar: how English works

Course outline
- Grammar isn't as difficult as it sounds
- The basic building blocks: word classes (parts of speech)
- Usage: words often confused
- Punctuation
- Spelling
This course is intended to help native speakers of English and also advanced non-native
speakers improve their knowledge of English grammar, usage and punctuation.
Each participant will be given a copy of the Penguin Writer's Manual,
The Complete Guide to Grammar or Good Word Guide, written by the course leader, Martin
Manser.
By the end of the course, participants will:
- be more confident in knowing what is a noun, verb, etc.
- be aware of some of the basic errors in English
- have increased understanding of the correct uses of punctuation marks
Location
Seminars are held in a location in central London. We will send you details of the
venue on confirmation of your booking.
Times
Courses begin at 9.30 a.m. and finish by 5.00 p.m.
Fees
Price per delegate is £550 + VAT which covers tuition, course material, two
free books by Martin H. Manser; coffee, lunch and tea.
